HOW TO CLEAN A HOUSE IN 10 EASY STEPS
Documentary | 80 min | 2026 | US / Colombia / Mexico | Spanish, English
Moving fluidly between performance and reflection, the film imagines a world in which the director’s mother Beatriz, who came to the US to support her family in Colombia through domestic labor, is a best-selling author. Using that imagined book as its structure, mother and daughter build a playful, fragmented portrait of a life spent cleaning other people’s homes. The film explores immigration, invisible labor, and who gets to tell their own story.
