Outside TV and Crooked Highways Return to America's National Parks with Season 2 of 'Park Sessions'

Matt Quinn of Mt. Joy, Harry Mack and Tash Sultana bring their music to Acadia, Yellowstone and Shenandoah

Los Angeles, November 3, 2026 — Outside Interactive, Inc. and Crooked Highways today announced the return of Park Sessions, the music documentary series where artists spend time in America's national parks with the people who know them best, then play intimate sets in iconic locations. All three Season 2 episodes premiere November 3 on OutsideTV.com.

The new season builds on the momentum of the series' inaugural run, which featured Mike Posner in Zion National Park, Scout Willis in Sequoia National Park, Goth Babe in Olympic National Park and Toro y Moi along the cliffs of Big Sur. Season 1 was a 2026 Webby Award Nominee and a Shorty Awards Finalist for Multi-Platform Campaign.

Season 2 travels from the rocky Atlantic coast of Maine to the geysers of Yellowstone and the ridgelines of the Blue Ridge Mountains, showcasing each park's landscapes and the work it takes to keep these places wild for generations to come. Created and produced by Crooked Highways, the series is executive produced by Ryan Gall, Garrett Darland and Brian Furano, and directed by Garrett Darland and David Darg, in collaboration with Parks Project and partners Mazda, L.L.Bean and Pacifico.

Across every episode, the series shares the ethos of partner Parks Project: Leave It Better Than You Found It™.

"We took NPR’s Tiny Desk to the most important places in our country. We give the audience a window into much more than just music - but at the same time you’ll never view these places or artists in the same way." said Chris Leavell, VP Content Strategy and Production, OutsideTV.

"In Acadia we kept coming back to the idea of slowing down," said Ryan Gall, Executive Producer, Crooked Highways. "Some of my favorite moments this season came right after a song ended, when everyone just stood there for a second taking in where we were. Hopefully this series gets a few people out to a park to unplug for a bit.

“Nature doesn’t take direction,” said Garrett Darland, Executive Producer and Director. “The best moments aren’t in any shot list… the unexpected thunderstorm, the last-minute sailboat hook up, the rodeo we stumbled across, the drum kit we found and hauled to the prairie. Like any good trip to the outdoors, the real fun doesn’t start until something unexpected happens.”

The Season 2 lineup:

  • Matt Quinn of Mt. Joy in Acadia National Park, where he learns primitive skills from Maine woodsman Mike Douglas, meets the bees that help hold the ecosystem together, and plays from a secluded cliffside overlook and the deck of a classic Maine sailboat at golden hour.

  • Harry Mack in Yellowstone National Park, freestyling off everything he encounters, from a drum-and-song exchange with Crow educator Dr. Shane Doyle and a Gallatin River raft trip to geyser basins, a bison traffic jam and a closing drum solo on the open prairie.

  • Tash Sultana in Shenandoah National Park, where they learn to make fire with survival expert and Patawomeck knowledge bearer Tim MacWelch, trade songs with young bluegrass players at the Blue Ridge Center for Music and Creative Arts, and close with a performance deep inside Luray Caverns.

Artist quotes:

"Was truly a gift to spend some time in Acadia National Park with the Park Sessions team and Outside TV. I grew up hiking and camping up there with my family. Acadia is stunning, but the parks in general are incredibly important to me and protecting land like that is non-negotiable. These parks are gifts that have the power to heal us and remind us of our place in the world. I was thrilled to play some songs and learn some important skills amongst the beauty, and hope it inspires people to make plans to visit and protect our beautiful National Parks." said Matt Quinn.

"I’ve done a lot of freestyles outdoors, but never with a geyser, a herd of buffalo or while whitewater rafting. Every turn in that park handed me a new view and a new set of words to flow with. So nice to get off the screens and into the wild." said Harry Mack.

"This is the first time I've been given an opportunity like this, which is a bit outside of my comfort zone to host a TV series.  It was also another goal of mine to make a friction fire. The entire experience is one of my favorite memories of my life." said Tash Sultana.

Why This Matters Now

America's public lands are at a crossroads. With more than 323 million visits in 2025 and a maintenance backlog of more than $24 billion, the National Park System faces mounting pressure from climate change, overuse and underfunding. Park Sessions aims to inspire a new generation to explore responsibly and to see stewardship as an act of creativity and connection.

Park Sessions Season 2 is streaming now on OutsideTV.com, with episodes coming to YouTube in the coming weeks.
